History:

[his mother died in the winter (she'd been attacked by a fox, or maybe a dog) and he was picked up half-dead by a patrol; integrated well into the Clan, with a couple of littermates from his adoptive mother and a few other apprentices as close friends + sort of fussed over by some other she-cat (now an elder, I'd like to make her <333); then he meets a rogue on the border, who's friends with some other rogues, and gets to know 'em because he'd like to know how his mother would've been since he doesn't know anything about the real one (he remembers her, but not much); turns out they were trying to take some territory for themselves, and he's unknowingly been informing them (so now he's careful about what he says and what cats want out of him all the time, so he doesn't inadvertently betray his Clan again); they attack the camp and kill a number of his friends, nearly kill the she-cat who's been all protective of him (which is why now he feels like he has to protect all of his cats, to make up for his mistakes), but the Clan manages to chase 'em off. After that, no idea why he'd be chosen as leader 8000 I suppose he's a natural leader, has a commanding presence, is confident or easily gathers followers (one of the reasons why he integrated so well) or something... and maybe he's got a very fair view on the world, because he doesn't begrudge other rogues for what that group did and such.]
